Experienced Jungian Analyst, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Dr. Soliday holds a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Andover-Newton Theological School in Boston, MA, 1970 and 1973. He is Jungian Analyst graduating from the C. G. Jung Institute of the Pacific Northwest in 1999 with a thesis entitled “The Archetype of Splitting.”
My vocation and work reflect what I have learned and internalized through my healing journey–depth work; Jungian dream work; transforming anxiety, shame, and depression; and working from the inside out. My journey took me from Portland to Boston where I received a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Andover-Newton Theological School.
Then back to Portland and the Pacific Northwest where I did post-doctoral training to become a Jungian Analyst. I am a member of both the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and of the Pacific Northwest Society of Jungian Analysts (learn more below).
For the past 20 years I have enriched my work by studying and working with Donald Kalsched, a leading expert in the field of early childhood trauma.
Dr. Kalsched, as my supervisor, has deeply influenced and contributed to my work with trauma. Known for his seminal book, The Inner World of Trauma, written in 1996, Dr. Kalsched published his most recent work, Trauma and the Soul, in 2013.
I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.
Finding the right person to accompany you on your healing journey is a most important and crucial decision. Either you are curious about your life’s direction and how to find a rich and meaningful life or you are feeling stuck and in emotional pain or chaos. Whether you are struggling with depression, a feeling of meaninglessness, anxiety, trauma and dissociation, anger, relationship issues, mid-life crisis, loss and grief, aging, or heart issues, your journey has brought you here to explore if I am the right person with whom you are to work.
I help people find their own true selves, the courage to be authentic, and to find meaning and purpose in life by using a range of psychological spiritual services- Jungian psychoanalysis, dream interpretation, and deep inter-personal connectedness.
